A Russian commander claims President Putin's helicopter was near a Ukrainian drone attack in Kursk Oblast during a May 20 visit. Yury Dashkin stated Putin's aircraft was "at the epicenter" while repelling the assault. This was Putin's first publicized visit since Russian forces regained control in March 2025.
