Baghdad sues Iraqs autonomous Kurdistan regional government over $110 billion US energy deal

The Iraqi federal government has taken legal action against the Kurdistan Regional Government. The lawsuit concerns oil and gas agreements with American companies. Baghdad claims the KRG violated the constitution. The KRG insists the deals are legal extensions of previous contracts. This dispute complicates the resumption of oil exports via the Iraq-Turkey pipeline.
