Currency printing cost rises 25% to Rs 6,372.8 crore in FY25: RBI

While Rs 500 notes dominated circulation, the share of Rs 500 notes declined marginally in value terms. The majority of withdrawn Rs 2000 notes returned to banks, and e-rupee circulation saw a significant rise.
