Experts warn US action against Chinese students could undermine science and innovation

The US government’s recent plan to revoke visas of some Chinese students over national security concerns has sparked expert warnings about potential harm to American science and innovation. With 277,000 Chinese students enrolled in US colleges, many contribute significantly to research and technology. Former FBI agent Greg Milonovich and legal expert Peter Zeidenberg, quoted by The New York Times, caution that the policy risks driving away valuable talent and weakening the US’s global scientific leadership.
