RGV recalls Mani Ratnam's reaction to changing Dil Se climax

Ram Gopal Varma revealed that producer Bharat Shah suggested an alternate ending for Mani Ratnam's 'Dil Se,' unhappy with its tragic climax. Shah proposed replacing the bomb blast scene with the 'Chaiya Chaiya' song after Shah Rukh and Manisha's hug, aiming for a perceived happy ending. Ratnam firmly rejected this idea.
