Bangladesh: Political parties reject Muhammad Yunus's extended time frame, demand election by December

Amidst political tensions in Bangladesh, a majority of 20 political parties, including BNP, have rejected Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus's proposed election timeline, advocating for polls by December. While most parties push for the earlier date, a few, including Jamaat-e-Islami, reportedly support Yunus's extended timeframe between December 2025 and June 2026.
