In Karachi, over 100 inmates escaped from Malir prison after earthquake tremors prompted an evacuation. Prisoners attacked guards, seizing weapons and fleeing before dawn. While 78 have been recaptured, police are searching for the remaining escapees. One inmate died and three officers were injured in a shootout.
