Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene resigned after losing a confidence vote amid public protests against corruption and inequality. Failing to secure enough parliamentary support, his departure follows weeks of demonstrations in Ulaanbaatar fueled by rising living costs and allegations of lavish spending.
