In Tiruppattur, authorities sealed 'Arivu Hospital,' formerly V D S Clinic, after a dentist was linked to eight patient deaths in 2023. Investigations revealed the reuse of single-use equipment and unsterile practices. Despite changing the clinic's name, the dentist continued operating. Officials, led by Dr. Gnanameenakshi, acted after receiving a tip-off and deemed the dentist's explanation unsatisfactory.
