Amidst the uproar over the discovery of a large sum of cash at Justice Yashwant Varma's residence, Chief Justice of India (CJI) B R Gavai addressed the critical issue of maintaining judicial legitimacy and public confidence. He acknowledged that instances of corruption and misconduct within the judiciary negatively impact public trust.
