Chess legend Susan Polgar appreciates Prime Minister Narendra Modi's encouragement of Indian chess talent. She recalls receiving a letter from him. This recognized her work with young players. PM Modi also congratulated D Gukesh on defeating Magnus Carlsen. Gukesh later won against Arjun Erigaisi. Hikaru Nakamura then defeated Gukesh. Nakamura tied with Gukesh in third position at Norway Chess.
