'Simla pact not dead': Pak distances from bold claim; defence minister's foot-in-mouth moment
Posted
Following defence minister Khawaja Asif's declaration, Pakistan's foreign ministry clarified that no decision has been made to revoke bilateral agreements with India, including the Simla Agreement. This comes amid heightened tensions after recent terror attacks and Indian strikes. While internal discussions occurred, all treaties remain operational, distancing the government from Asif's remarks that the Simla framework is obsolete.
