TOI Exclusive: Junior wrestlers handed ban in fake birth-certificate scam

The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) has banned nearly 30 junior wrestlers for submitting fake birth certificates, primarily from Delhi's Narela and Rohini zones. An investigation revealed a nexus between wrestlers, coaches, and MCD officials facilitating the fraud. Reigning Khelo India gold medalist Yash Kumar faces a bone test due to DOB tampering.
