Jharkhand’s Education Minister Ramdas Soren announced efforts to accommodate 2.5 lakh Intermediate (Class 12) students in higher secondary schools after a Governor’s directive halted admissions in degree college Intermediate programs. Aligning with the National Education Policy, the state plans to phase out Intermediate colleges by 2026, upgrade schools, seek legal advice on private colleges, and extend admission deadlines for relief.
