Northeast gets grip on rubber for tyres
Posted
Efforts to expand natural rubber plantations in Northeast India are yielding results, with the region's production share more than doubling since 2013-14. While Kerala's production has slightly decreased, Tripura, Assam, and Meghalaya have seen significant growth. Tyre companies are increasingly sourcing from the Northeast due to its expansion potential, with projects underway to cover 200,000 hectares.
