Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has strongly criticised the United States for inviting Pakistan's army chief General Asim Munir to the US army day celebrations. Ramesh questioned the invitation, citing Munir's inflammatory remarks before the Pahalgam terror attacks. He also objected to US officials describing Pakistan as a counter-terrorism partner.
