Bombay HC challenges inclusion of minority colleges in reservation order, cites Article 30 protections
Posted
The Bombay High Court questioned a Maharashtra government resolution mandating minority educational institutions to implement Constitutional and social reservations for first-year junior college admissions. The court asked the government to consider withdrawing the clause, noting minority institutions are excluded from such reservations under Article 15(5) of the Constitution. A similar GR was previously withdrawn after a court challenge.
