West Bengal shuts down schools for June 13, 14, amid scorching heatwave

West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu declared the suspension of classes in state-run and state-aided schools on June 13-14 due to the ongoing heatwave. Private schools have also been requested to follow suit, excluding institutions in hill areas. While teaching and learning activities are paused for students, teaching and non-teaching staff are required to attend their workplaces.
