Muhammad Yunus accused of 'special affection' for a party after meet with BNP

Jamaat-e-Islami and the NCP criticized Bangladesh's chief adviser Muhammad Yunus for showing partiality after he reached a preliminary understanding with the BNP to hold elections in February. These parties had previously supported Yunus's proposal for an April election. JeI expressed concerns over Yunus's discussions with BNP abroad, deeming it a breach of political norms, while the NCP conveyed their disappointment.
