Puducherry CM demands 25% quota for locals in all Central University courses, cites 2013-14 academic council decision

Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy appealed to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar for a 25% quota in all courses at the Central University for native students. Accompanied by Assembly Speaker R Selvam, Rangasamy submitted a memorandum highlighting past reservations and the university's founding purpose to serve regional aspirations. He emphasized similar reservations in other central institutions like NIT Karaikal and JIPMER.
