Can't stop Kamal film screening due to threat of mob violence: Supreme Court
Posted
The Supreme Court intervened in the 'Thug Life' film screening issue. It stated that rule of law is paramount, not public sentiment. Karnataka cannot allow mobs to obstruct a CBFC-cleared film. The court transferred Kamal Haasan's petition to itself. It asked the state government to respond to a PIL. Freedom of speech must be protected, the court noted.
