Transport ministry approves mandatory ABS in all 2-wheelers, 2 helmets with new bikes
Postado
To enhance two-wheeler rider safety, the road transport ministry will mandate anti-lock braking systems (ABS) for all new scooters, bikes, and motorcycles manufactured after January next year, regardless of engine capacity. Additionally, manufacturers and dealers must provide two BIS-certified helmets with each two-wheeler sale. These measures aim to reduce road deaths, particularly those caused by head injuries.
