Posted
The University of Minnesota has approved its largest tuition increase in over a decade amid a growing US education funding crisis. Facing up to a 30% drop in federal funding and a 3.5% decline in state support, the university’s Board of Regents voted 9-3 to raise tuition by up to 7.5% and cut academic spending by 7%. Leaders assured that low-income students would remain protected through financial aid programs, as reported by KSTP.
