Railways caps wait-list tickets at 25% of train's capacity
Posted
Indian Railways has initiated a policy shift by capping wait-listed tickets to a maximum of 25% of available berths in each class, aiming to reduce passenger uncertainty and overcrowding. This decision, implemented following a Railway Board circular, allows zonal railways to determine waitlist limits based on booking and cancellation patterns.
