NMC continues to reject patient appeals against state councils

The National Medical Commission faces scrutiny for rejecting patient appeals. A draft amendment bill remains pending since December 2022. The Ethics Board is vacant, hindering the appeal process. Despite a Supreme Court order and existing regulations, the NMC continues to deny patient appeals. Activists are calling for intervention from the Health Ministry. The ministry says the matter is under consideration.
