نشر بتاريخ
Karnataka's government is set to establish a social-media regulatory authority to combat fake news and misinformation. The proposed bill, carrying penalties up to seven years in prison and hefty fines, targets content insulting to women, disrespecting Sanatana Dharma, or promoting superstition. Special courts will be formed to address violations, ensuring accountability from companies and individuals involved in spreading misinformation.
