Maharashtra man, 83, loses Rs 1.2 crore to fake stock trading portal

An 83-year-old retiree from Dadar fell victim to an elaborate online stock trading scam, losing Rs 1.2 crore. The retiree was lured through a fake platform disguised as a reputable financial institution after clicking on an online advertisement. Cyber police are currently investigating the fraud, tracing IP addresses and financial transactions to identify the perpetrators.
