Next-gen road ambulances to have vital equipment to extricate injured crash victims

India's next-generation ambulances will be equipped with tools like glass breakers, rescue axes, and hydraulic jacks to quickly extricate crash victims. The Centre is finalizing changes to Automotive Industry Standards to ensure these tools are available. Some ambulances will function as neonatal units, while others will be multi-stretcher vehicles.
