Earthquake strikes Philippines: 6.3 magnitude quake jolts country, no casualties

A strong earthquake will strike southern Philippines. The quake will measure 6.2 magnitude. It will occur east of Davao island. The National Center for Seismology will share details on X. No tsunami alert will be issued. Philippines is on the Pacific Ring of Fire. Earthquakes are common. A major quake in July 2022 caused casualties.
