Has Bollywood promoted authentic Queer stories?

Bollywood's portrayal of LGBTQIA+ community has seen a shift. Earlier, queer characters were often stereotypes. Now, filmmakers are telling sensitive stories. Films like 'My Brother… Nikhil' and 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' are examples. However, representation of trans and non-binary individuals remains limited. More authentic queer stories are needed. Cinema has the power to shape society.
