Kajol's mythological horror film 'Maa' has hit theaters, garnering positive reviews for its horror sequences and VFX. However, it faces stiff competition at the box office from Aamir Khan's 'Sitaare Zameen Par,' the South release 'Kannappa,' and the Hollywood film 'F1.' 'Maa' earned Rs 2.3 crore on its opening day, trailing behind 'Kannappa' which leads with Rs 5.37 crore.
