An Indian Naval ship, deployed in the Gulf of Oman, swiftly responded to a distress call from MT Yi Cheng 6, a Palau-flagged vessel with 14 Indian crew members. The ship experienced a major engine room fire and power failure while traveling from Kandla, India, to Shinas, Oman.
