India to see above-normal July rainfall; Northeast, East & South may face deficit: IMD

India is expected to receive above-normal monsoon rainfall in July, benefiting agriculture but also posing risks of flooding in central regions. While most of the country will experience normal to above-normal rainfall, northeast and parts of east, extreme south peninsular, and northwest India are likely to receive below-normal rainfall.
