Sharjah Police rescued a 13-year-old Emirati boy addicted to drugs after receiving unsolicited WhatsApp messages. The Anti-Narcotics Department intervened swiftly following the father's plea. In 2024, they recorded 912 drug peddling cases via WhatsApp, arresting 680 suspects and blocking numerous websites.
