Sheikh Hasina sentenced in contempt case: ICT hands ex-Bangladesh PM 6-month jail term; first conviction since ouster

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) in Bangladesh has sentenced ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to six months in prison for contempt of court. The tribunal-1, led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder, also sentenced Shakil Akand Bulbul to two months in prison. This marks Hasina's first conviction since leaving office and the country 11 months prior.
