Bahrain declares two-day public holiday for Ashura, extends break to Monday

Bahrain has announced a two-day public holiday for Ashura, as declared by Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Ministries and public institutions will be closed on Saturday, July 5th, and Sunday, July 6th, 2025. With Saturday already a weekend day, government employees will enjoy an extended break until Monday, July 7th.
