Microsoft cuts jobs in Xbox division, cancels games

Microsoft's gaming division initiated significant layoffs. Hundreds of employees faced job cuts. King, the maker of Candy Crush, saw a 10% staff reduction. Call of Duty maker Raven Software also announced workforce reductions. Microsoft cancelled several long-term projects. These included the fantasy game Everwild. An original online game from ZeniMax Online Studios was also cancelled.
