'Unjustified and unfounded': French couple detained for over 3 years on spy charges in Iran; foreign minister demands immediate release
Posté
France is demanding the immediate release of two citizens, Cecile Kohler and Jacques Paris, detained in Iran since May 2022 on espionage charges. Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot refuted accusations of spying for Israel, calling them “unjustified and unfounded.” Concerns for their well-being escalated after Israeli airstrikes near Evin Prison, where they were initially held.
