'Constitutional': Ex-CJI Chandrachud backs simultaneous polls; flags one concern
Сообщение
Former Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud has supported the constitutionality of 'one nation, one election,' stating the Constitution never mandated separate national and state polls. While endorsing the concept, the former CJI cautioned against granting the Election Commission sweeping powers that could potentially extend or curtail state assembly tenures.
