UPI goes global: UAE-based Indians can now transfer money without Indian number
Posted
Indian expats in the UAE can now use UPI with their international mobile numbers, thanks to a recent agreement. This allows seamless transactions from NRE/NRO accounts with participating banks like HDFC and ICICI. NRIs can now conveniently pay bills, school fees, and other domestic expenses in India, enhancing financial inclusion and ease of access.
