Bharat Bandh 2025: Will schools, colleges & govt offices be closed on July 9? Here is what we know so far
Posted
A nationwide Bharat Bandh on July 9, 2025, called by 10 central trade unions and farmers’ organisations, will protest against government policies deemed "anti-worker" and "pro-corporate." While schools, colleges, and government offices are expected to remain open, disruptions in banking, public transport, and postal services are likely. Power sector employees and farmers are also participating. In Bihar, a separate bandh over voter list revisions may add to the unrest, causing further regional disruptions.
