Florida leads US with rising A and B school grades, more than 2,400 schools rated top two tiers

Florida leads the US in education improvements with over 2,400 schools earning A or B grades in the 2025 statewide ratings. The Florida Department of Education reported 1,526 schools received A grades, up from 1,299 last year, and 935 schools earned B grades. Fewer schools earned D or F grades. Gov. Ron DeSantis credited progress monitoring policies, while some groups called for stricter grading reforms amid ongoing challenges.
