Government to sell LIC minority stake; DIPAM to finalise plan; 96.5% holding remains after 2022 IPO

The government is planning to sell more shares of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) through an Offer for Sale (OFS). DIPAM will finalize the transaction details, with the government needing to offload a 6.5% stake by May 2027 to meet the 10% public ownership requirement. Currently, the government holds a 96.5% stake in LIC.
