Omar Abdullah, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister, resorted to scaling a graveyard wall in Srinagar to offer prayers on Martyrs' Day after alleging repeated obstruction by security forces. He criticized the government for attempting to suppress the remembrance of the 1931 martyrs and accused local media of downplaying the house arrests of elected leaders.
