Six death-row convicts await HC verdict for over 3 yrs
Posted
The Supreme Court is hearing appeals regarding delayed verdicts from the Jharkhand High Court, where six death-row convicts await judgment on appeals reserved over three years ago. Advocate Fauzia Shakil argues this inaction violates the right to speedy justice, noting Justice Rongon Mukhopadhyay presided over most of these cases. The court had previously addressed similar delays from the same judge.
