The Punjab and Haryana High Court has summoned the IPS officer leading the Chandigarh Police SIT investigation into the alleged assault on Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath by Punjab Police personnel in Patiala. Justice Rajesh Bhardwaj's directive follows Colonel Bath's plea accusing the SIT of shielding the accused cops.
