Bangladesh: 4 die as Sheikh Hasina supporters clash with cops
Posted
In Gopalganj, Bangladesh, a clash between Awami League supporters and security forces resulted in four fatalities, leading to a curfew. The violence erupted after a rally by the National Citizen Party, a key player in the previous government's ouster. Muhammad Yunus condemned the violence as a violation of fundamental rights, as protesters clashed with police, vandalized vehicles, and prompted gunfire.
