Posted
The Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily suspended from Jammu, Pahalgam, and Baltal base camps due to rain-damaged tracks. Repair work is underway, with resumption planned for July 18, weather permitting. This decision follows a pilgrim's death and injuries to three others due to landslides, prompting army rescue efforts for stranded pilgrims. So far, 2.5 lakh pilgrims have visited the shrine.
