New work rules in Oman: Certification now mandatory for engineering and finance professionals

Oman is set to enforce mandatory professional certifications for engineers and accountants. Starting August 2025, engineers need OSE certification for work permits, followed by accountants in September. This initiative aims to standardize qualifications, enhance competency, and promote Omanisation by ensuring a skilled local workforce, aligning with the Vision 2040 goals.
