Set up new NIA courts by Sept, SC tells govts
Posted
The Supreme Court has expressed strong disapproval over delays in trials for NIA-investigated terrorism and heinous crime cases. It criticized the practice of designating existing courts for these cases, demanding the Union and Maharashtra governments establish new, exclusive special courts by September. Failure to comply may result in the courts considering bail for the accused due to trial delays.
